Confined Space Entry & Rescue
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of confined spaces, and their permit notification and implementation requirements; identify control measures to eliminate, isolate, and minimise the risk of hazards in confined spaces; demonstrate knowledge of monitoring and confined space testing requirements; and describe the responsibilities and duties of people entering confined spaces or conducting observation duties for confined spaces.
Course Information (1 or 1.5 Days)
Discover the vital aspects of Confined Space work, a field acknowledged to be 120 to 150 times riskier than outdoor tasks.
Our training equips workers with in-depth knowledge, enabling them to precisely define confined spaces according to industry standards. Participants will learn to identify and manage both common and specific hazards, ensuring compliance with permit and documentation requirements before, during, and after entry.
Our comprehensive program covers control measures, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures, monitoring, and atmospheric testing. Participants will gain insights into the roles and responsibilities crucial for safe confined space operations. Additionally, staff will develop proficiency in planning and executing effective confined space rescue procedures.
This training is tailored for entry-level staff and supervisors tasked with planning and executing entries and exits from confined spaces, such as Safety Observers, Entrants, and Supervisors.
