Forklift Courses
Specific training is required before operating on-site. The three stages of training and competency must be completed before an 'Authorization to Operate' is issued for the workplace. (1. OSH Forklift 2. Combi Training 3. Driver License Endorsement [may apply]). We are accredited with Competenz NZ and Waka Kotahi NZ, and we undergo regular audits and monitoring to ensure our training meets the required standards.
The duration of our forklift courses may vary based on factors such as truck type, the number of trainees, and whether the course is conducted on-site with any restrictions due to the operators' daily work.
We provide a full range of courses, including OSH (Operator Safety Handling), and can support you 'post-course' with a variety of documentation. We also offer email/telephone 'mentoring support' if required.
Counter Balance Forklift Operations & Refresher (4 hours)
Foundation OSH Forklift Course (Beginners - Up to 6 hours)
Operators with no experience using or operating Counter Weight Forklifts will be given the opportunity to work one-on-one with an Instructor and given the time required to become competent in both the classroom and meet the practical requirements/assessment criteria.
'F' Class Endorsement / Driver Licence Endorsements (Up to 6 hours) US 18496
Purpose: People credited with this unit standard are able to describe: the legal requirements relating to the driving of a forklift on a road, driving procedures and general considerations for driving a forklift safely on a road, environmental factors affecting the safe driving of a forklift on a road; and demonstrate procedures for driving a forklift safely and legally on a road.
Staff needed to drive on a road will be required to hold an F Endorsement and will need to present a copy of their current full NZ car driver's license on the day, complete the required documentation, and have a valid OSH Certification. After completing the OSH Training, they will complete the theory requirements (7 long answers - closed book - 100% pass mark required) to gain their Class F endorsement to add to their NZ driver's license.

Hiab Training Course (Truck Crane)
Truck-mounted crane training, commonly referred to as Hiab training, can be conveniently conducted on the customer's site using their own machines. These cranes come in various configurations, including front-mounted, mid-mounted, and rear-mounted, with options for sit-on or remote-controlled operation. Our comprehensive training covers all makes and models, including Hiab, Palfinger, PM, and Atlas cranes. No matter the specific crane you have, we have a tailored course to meet your training needs.

Telehandler Training
Telescopic handlers excel in rough terrain where conventional counterbalance trucks fall short. They offer both forward and vertical reach at significant heights, proving invaluable on construction sites. Our training program covers the operation of telescopic handlers, enhancing skills in this specialized category of off-truck equipment.

- Only trained and authorized personnel should operate a forklift.
- Always look in the direction of travel.
- Remember the effects of rear-end swing.
- If a bulky load obscures forward vision, drive in reverse.
- When approaching crossings in aisles or gangways, slow down and sound the horn.
- Avoid making fast starts, jerky movements, and quick turns.
- Passengers must not be permitted to ride on the forks/load or any other part of a forklift.
- Always keep a safe distance from other vehicles.
- Avoid running over loose objects.

- Drive at a speed consistent with the load you are carrying and workplace conditions.
- Never place any part of the body between the uprights of the mast or outside of the forklift cab.
- When leaving the forklift, ensure that the controls are at neutral, power is shut off, brakes applied, forks lowered, and the ignition key is removed (gas is turned off).
- If you are required to elevate personnel, use an approved work/safety cage (Driver Height Trained).
- Carry loads as close to the floor as possible (suggested carry position is approximately 100-150mm above the ground, approximately axle height with tilt applied).
