SAFE WORKING AT HEIGHTS

Staff will identify & demonstrate the legislative requirements for suitable safe systems working at height.
Understand hazards associated with wearing a fall arrest harness, check, fit and use a safety harness system, then  develop & carry out an effective rescue plan.
Recommended for workers operating at any height using ladders, scaffold, trestles, or required to use a harness for either Fall Prevention / Restraint (23229) or Fall Arrest ((15757) - being caught after a fall has occurred) or any other height equipment ordinarily used by their employer

NZQA unit standards include
​US 23229 Use a safety harness for personal fall prevention when working at height (4 credits)
US 15757 Use, install and disestablish temporary proprietary height safety systems when working at height (4 Credits)
Other options by request:
​US 17600 Explain safe work practices for working at heights (3 Credits)
US 25045 Employ height safety equipment in the workplace (4 Credits
