A Class 4 vehicle is a rigid vehicle with a gross laden weight of more than 18,000kg.
About the Course
The Class 4 training is a two-day course. Students must provide their own vehicle for this course
Day 1 you are required to be trained and work through each Unit Standard by filling out a workbook (this is an open book exercise) as this is part of your learning process. This will be followed by a closed book assessment.
Day 2 the assessor will take you for a practical drive. Once you are competent, on the assessments and drive, you will be given your Class 4 certificate which you then produce to the AA, for it to be recorded on your licence.
